A first for us, purchasing and roasting coffee that has been processed through controlled fermentation or 'slow natural' . This particular lot #1 was fermented at 43 degrees and has a high presence of fruits and sweetness in the cup.
Jhone Lacerda is an innovative young coffee grower whose farm has belonged to his family since 1896. It is located in the serra do caparao region on the border of espirito santo and minas gerais states in Brazil. At an altitude of up to 1550m the farm benefits from a great climate and deep, rich soil with a high organic matter content.
A phenomenal coffee both in its aroma and flavour, we have roasted it to suit filter brewing, the fruit presence is high with notes of candied strawberry & cocoa.
